Phillips University Legacy Foundation offers scholarships and leadership development training to outstanding full-time undergraduate students pursuing a liberal arts education at colleges and universities currently or historically related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as listed in the Yearbook and Directory of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Scholarship awards, which can be as high as $8,500 per academic year, are based on academic achievement as well as past, present and potential leadership in their communities and academic environments.
To be eligible, applicants must: be well-rounded, with a proven track record of academic success, involvement, and leadership roles in their schools and the broader community; be incoming first-year college students (first-year students), sophomores, or juniors and plan to attend full-time for the coming academic year (enrolled in at least 12 credits); and be able and willing to fully engage in the leadership & service components of the Legacy Scholar Program. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit a transcript, a resume and at least three references.
