Scholarship Description

The Autism Can Do Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and passion for design, while also supporting a meaningful cause.

Scholarship Details

  • Hosted by John’s Crazy Socks in collaboration with the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation, and Rangam.
  • Main focus: Designing a unique pair of socks.
  • Open to graduating high school seniors and current college students enrolled for Fall.
  • Application deadline: March 15th.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior or a current college student enrolled for the Fall semester.
  • Interest and ability in creative design.

Application Process

  1. Submit a brief personal statement and your intentions for the scholarship.
  2. Design a pair of socks using the provided template or your own design.
  3. Submit your sock design in JPG format, adhering to the 10mb size limit.
  4. Ensure that designs are original and do not include photographs or licensed images.

This scholarship celebrates creativity and aims to spread happiness. Designs will be judged on creativity, fun, and appeal. The top winner will receive a $5,000 grant and have their sock design produced and sold by John’s Crazy Socks. First and second runners-up will receive scholarships of $2,500 and $1,000, respectively. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the winning design will fund next year's scholarship.
