Scholarship Description

This scholarship program serves the sons and daughters of employees of Roseburg Forest Products Co. to continue education beyond high school. Each year, up to 10% of all eligible dependents are selected to receive a renewable Ford Sons & Daughters Scholarship. Awardees attending a two-year college or program full time receive $3,000 each academic year. Awardees attending a four-year college or program full time receive $5,000 each academic year.

Be a dependent child or stepchild of an employee of Roseburg Forest Products Co. The employee must be full time and have been employed full time by Roseburg Forest Products Co. for a minimum of 18 months as of March 1 of the application year. Be 21 years old or younger as of March 1 of the application year. If selected, recipients may continue in the scholarship program beyond age 21. Has a goal to achieve an associate, bachelor’s, or technical degree (and has not previously earned a bachelor’s degree). Will attend full time, at a federal financial aid eligible public or private, non-profit or for-profit postsecondary institution, beginning in fall of the application year. Applicants with a felony conviction in their past must have satisfied the terms of the conviction by August 1 of the application year. Applicants are encouraged to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after October 1, as they may be eligible for other forms of additional financial aid.
