The Susan Lawrence Soldier for Life Scholarship is established by our CEO LTG Susan S. Lawrence, USA (Ret.). LTG Lawrence graduated from Campbell University while enlisted at Fort Bragg. This was a huge part of LTG Lawrence’s military journey, and she is honored to give back and continue her legacy here at AFCEA through this scholarship fund.
Scholarship Details
- One-time $5,000 scholarship for a Campbell University student
- Must be a STEM major in a discipline related to the AFCEA mission
- Open to students who have served as enlisted soldiers at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg)
- Applications open October 1
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have served as an enlisted soldier at Fort Liberty
- Currently attending Campbell University
- Majoring in a qualifying STEM field (e.g., aerospace engineering, cybersecurity, mechanical engineering, etc.)
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form (opens October 1), including short-answer questions
- Submit an official transcript, including grades from the Spring semester, via email or by mail to AFCEA if electronic submission is not possible
- Provide one letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your major; have your recommender submit it as a PDF via email
One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Campbell University student pursuing a STEM degree. Applicants must also have served as an enlisted soldier at Fort Liberty
