In support of the FIRST mission, and in recognition of the achievements of FIRST
participants, MIT has established an endowment to be used to help fund need-based
scholarships for students enrolled at MIT who participated in FIRST during high school.
Students awarded need-based MIT scholarships should mention their FIRST involvement
in the online Student Information Review Form, required of all undergraduates who have
received MIT Scholarship aid. A FIRST Scholarship awarded by MIT wil become the
source of all or a portion of the recipient’s need-based MIT Scholarship.
