The mission of HBCU Week is to encourage high-school aged youth to enroll into HBCU’s, provide scholarship dollars for matriculation and sustain a pipeline for employment from undergraduate school to corporate America. This scholarship is open to students entering an HBCU and working towards a bachelor’s degree. Applicants will have to provide proof of acceptance into a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and be a Delaware resident to qualify.
To be eligible to apply for the HBCU Week x Wilmington (DE) Chapter of The Links, Inc. Scholarship, applicants must: demonstrate financial need; be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States; and have a 3.0 GPA. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit their most recent transcript, proof of acceptance and two recommendation letters (one must be from a professional member of their academic institution and the other from a non-related community member). Immediate Family Members of a the Wilmington (DE) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are ineligible to apply.
