The VWEA Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded annually by the Virginia Water Environment Association (VWEA) to students enrolled at Virginia universities or community college in a civil or environmental engineering or physical/environmental science undergraduate program. The objectives of the scholarship are to support our local universities and colleges and to promote student participation in VWEA. The award shall be $2,500.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a civil or environmental engineering or physical/environmental science undergraduate program at a Virginia college, community college, or university, full-time, attending in the spring and fall 2022 semesters. Eligible students must have a 2.75 or greater grade point average. Judging of the applicants will be performed anonymously by the VWEA Scholarship Committee using a weighted ranking system. The selection criteria are as follows:
a. Academic Performance (25 points), b. Extracurricular activities (25 points), c. Work / research experience (25 points), and
