In memory of Chad Smith “Smalls”, My Daily Armor Ministries, and “Jonny’s Wagon” wish to honor the life of our friend by providing an annual memorial scholarship of $1,000.00 in his name.
To qualify for the 2021 $1000 Chad Smith “Smalls” Scholarship you must: be entering an accredited college the fall semester of the year the scholarship is awarded or be in an undergraduate program in an accredited college. Applications will be accepted for the fall semester between April, 1st and May 31st. Applicant must provide name, address, phone, and email address, and the name of the college you will be attending in the fall semester and provide a high school or college transcript demonstrating at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Applicant must provide a 250-word (minimum) essay describing your volunteer work inside the US which should demonstrate significant volunteer work in support of our homeless and/or near homeless individuals and families (with preference given to significant leadership roles – i.e. leading or creating and running a non-profit).
The Chad Smith “Smalls” Memorial Scholarship is directed specifically at undergraduate students who are on the front lines caring for our homeless and/or near-homeless individuals and families inside the US. If you do not have hands-on front-line experience, this scholarship isn’t designed for you (Please don’t waste your time or ours).
We also give priority consideration to those in leadership roles, founders, leaders, and those working with our veterans and children.
Applicant must provide a letter of reference from your school, church, or the organization(s) you volunteered with, or from community leaders that have worked with you. Our team reserves the right not to issue the scholarship if we feel the candidates we receive don’t meet the above qualifications.
