Scholarship Description

The Marshall Islands Scholarship, Grant and Loan Board (MISGLB) is dedicated to help Marshallese citizens fulfil their education goals, aspirations and commitments to their country (RMI) to help develop and improve all aspects toward becoming a self-sustaining and equipped nation. MISGLB is offered to students attending the College of the Marshall Islands, and it is offered to all grade levels. This is offered three times a year, depending on which semester the student is applying for.

Requirements will vary, depending on which scholarship is being applied for. For the new applicant/undergraduate scholarship, students must: be a high school senior, GED recipient or a returning student; have a 3.0 GPA (or a 2.5 GPA, if a returning student); and submit additional required materials. For the ongoing applicant scholarship, students must have a 2.5 GPA and submit evidence of their financial resources (such as copies of an SAR or FAFSA). For the graduate scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and be pursuing a Master's degree or a Ph.D., as well as complete at least nine credit hours per semester.
