Scholarship Description

The mission of the Georgia Student Finance Commission is to promote and increase access to education beyond high school for Georgians. Founded in 1965, the Georgia Student Finance Commission has become one of the most successful state student aid operations in the nation. To be eligible, students must: be a US citizen or permanent resident; be a legal resident of Georgia; be enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible private college or university; be an undergraduate student in a program of study leading to a college degree; maintain satisfactory academic progress, as defined by the college; be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements; not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program; be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Post-secondary Education Act of 1990; and not have received TEG payment for more than 127 semester/190 quarter hours.
