Since 1992, PAVE Global has mentored, inspired, and connected student designers with the professional world of consumer environment design. PAVE now offers a new award to honor visionary students poised to make a transformative impact in the industry with their innovative designs. This prestigious award offers substantial financial and professional recognition for one student selected by a panel of industry professionals.
Scholarship Details
- $7,500 cash prize for the selected student
- Invitation to the PAVE Gala for networking and recognition, with travel, hotel, and per diem covered
- $1,000 provided to the student’s school/department or educator for travel to the PAVE Gala
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in a 2 to 4-year undergraduate or graduate program in design, architecture, or visual merchandising
- Interest in a career in consumer environment design
- Full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (or equivalent)
- Located and studying within North America
Application Process
- Select a project that aligns with one of these sub-topics: Human and Community Connection, Sustainability, Cultural Awareness/DEI, Universal Design, or Educational Innovations
- Create three 11” x 17” landscape boards, as follows:
- Board 1: Include the design/project title, project imagery, and address the chosen sub-topic, explaining your interest in it
- Board 2: Design/project title, project imagery, and insights gained during the design process
- Board 3: Design/project title, project imagery, and reflection on goal achievement and impact
- Submit all three boards as PDFs through the Submittable platform, ensuring anonymity (no student or school name on boards)
- Include a complete copy of your current transcript (official or unofficial)
All projects must be innovative in nature. Projects should exemplify creativity and be distinguished by their unique and thoughtful design thinking. If submitting group work, students must be clear about their role in the project. Must have made a significant impact working on the project, and must credit collaborators.
