Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. Jacki and Don Herbert had no children of their own. However, they valued the benefits of a college education and desired to help committed students attend college. The Hebert Memorial Scholarship Fund was established upon Jacki’s death to help fund the education of students who are Saginaw County residents and have a “B” or better average in high school. The Hebert Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to help fund the education of students who are Saginaw County residents. Applicants must be high school seniors or current undergraduates (enrolled full-time) and have a 3.0 GPA. Dollar amounts for the scholarship will vary.
