UCI Overwatch Scholarship Program

• UCI is the first public university to create an official esports program and is regarded as one of the best and most comprehensive in the world. The vision for the esports program was born in the summer of 2015. With a successful Computer Game Science major, a thriving gaming community, and a history of elite competition, UCI is a natural place for esports to thrive.

  Those selected for the University of California-Irvine Overwatch Scholarship program will receive yearly financial aid to cover tuition fees in exchange for a commitment of 15-20 hours per week during the season to practice, team meetings, community service, workouts, and competitions. Current and incoming students are open to apply for the program. Tryouts for UCI's Overwatch scholarship program will take place over the summer.
