• Scholarship Description
• The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region is an independent, public charity established in September 1996 by a steering committee of local civic leaders to gather permanent funds to support the area. The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region serves the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County to South Boston/Halifax County, Virginia, and Caswell County, North Carolina. The vision is to recognize needs and provide resources to improve the quality of life in the community and to serve the wishes of the donors.

  Graduating high school seniors or college students who attend, or attended, a high school in the city of Danville, Pittsylvania or Halifax counties, or Caswell County, North Carolina, may apply. The online application system will assist applicants with eligibility criteria. Students are urged to begin the application process early because official transcripts and references are required for a complete application and this process takes time.
