The Roy E. Jorgensen Memorial Scholarship is awarded by the Roy E. Jorgensen Foundation, Inc. to an undergraduate college senior or graduate student enrolled at an accredited school of engineering in the United States. The award is made annually for $15,000 to a qualified college senior or graduate student. The Foundation was established by the Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. firm in memory of its Founder, Roy E. Jorgensen, a civil engineer whose 70 year career was dedicated to the improvement of highway transportation planning, design, construction and maintenance management. Criteria: -A civil engineering student enrolled as an undergraduate senior or graduate student at an accredited engineering university in the United States. -A citizen of the United States -Academic record needed -Related employment record needed -Written statement of career objectives and life goals -Record of extracurricular activities and community activities -Letters of recommendation from university professors/instructors and/or employers -Personal interview if warranted *Preference is given to qualifying residents of Maryland.
