In order to be given priority consideration for the Frank Annunzio Scholarship, the applicant is required to: be of 50% or more of Italian extraction; have demonstrated leadership and community service experience; have high academic achievement and a resident of Illinois; and be enrolled or admitted into an accredited institution of higher education and show proof of their acceptance/enrollment. Students selected as award recipients will be notified in a communication from the JCCIA and will be required to attend the Columbus Day Parade or reception for the scholarship award presentation.
Apart from completing the application, applicants must also submit: high school and/or college transcripts; two letters of recommendation; a current photo of themselves; and an essay (500 words or less) detailing their leadership and community service experience and how the scholarship will help fulfill their goals. All application materials must be submitted electronically to the specified email address as one complete file.
