Last year marked several historic moments for women, particularly conservative women, and NeW has been proud to celebrate that this year with our campaign The Year of the Conservative Woman. As part of this campaign, we are thrilled to be hosting our annual NeW Essay Contest. The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) Essay Contest invites high school seniors and college women to reflect on these momentous achievements and what they mean for women going forward in a 600-750 word essay for the chance to win a $500 scholarship. The essay contest will open on April 19th at 9am ET. We are excited to share that the Washington Examiner is co-sponsoring this year’s contest and will be helping choose the winning essays.
The contest is open to female high school juniors and seniors and college students who compete in separate categories. You must be a high school senior or currently enrolled in an undergraduate institution in the United States at the time of entry. One high school student and one college student will win a $500 scholarship and potentially have the essay published by our contest co-sponsor. Entrants must be willing to have their essay published. To enter the Essay Contest, respond in 600-750 words to the prompt. Essays should address one or more of the questions, but do not need to address all of them.
