This Scholarship is for students of Fayetteville Technical Community College who are active duty Army/Navy/National Guard and Army/Navy Reserve Forces and their dependents. Eligible applicants must: Either be on active duty in the army/navy/national guard or in the army/navy reserves or be a dependent of a member; Have already been admitted to Fayetteville Technical Community College (part-time is also applicable); and, Are physically able to attend Fayetteville Technical Community College. This award is renewable for up to three years as long as the student maintains a 2.5 GPA for the previous period and funds are available. Applications run from February until the due date. Dollar amounts will vary.
Cumberland Community Foundation ("CCF") manages more than 60 scholarship endowment funds created by local individuals, families, civic organizations, and corporations who want to provide a path to higher education for future generations. Each year, Cumberland Community Foundation awards more than $800,000 in college scholarships to students from southeastern North Carolina. Most scholarships are selected by the CCF Scholarship Committee. A few scholarships are selected by external selection committees at the individual high schools.
