We are committed to helping you finance your college education. JSU offers several types of scholarships to help defray the cost of attending school for new and continuing students. JSU-funded scholarships are non "refundable," and unused funds cannot be carried over to subsequent semesters. Each scholarship may be regulated by a different set of requirements. Some scholarships are automatically offered; some require an application. Criteria will vary by each scholarship.
Each year, we award thousands of dollars in scholarships to our talented, hard-working theatre and film students. The JSU Alabama Theatre and Film Scholarships are awarded through an audition and/or portfolio review process. All students also participate in interviews with the faculty. Scholarships are only available for students with a major in theatre or film. For all scholarships you will prepare a resume of theatre or film related experience to upload for the application, please submit as a pdf. Any video materials for virtual auditions should be submitted as links to either YouTube or Vimeo. The number of awards and dollar amounts will vary.
