The Maryland Tourism Education Foundation awards academic, career enhancing, and transitional scholarships each year to increase the skills and knowledge of Maryland’s tourism workforce.
Scholarships can be used for post-secondary education to meet three career development objectives:
• Acquiring an industry degree
• Career development and enhancement
• Transitional training
In order to apply for the MTEF scholarship, you must be a resident of Maryland and able to answer “Yes” to one of the following two questions.
1. Will you be enrolled in a hospitality management degree granting program at a U.S. college or university for the upcoming Fall semester? Qualifying majors include programs such as hotel administration, hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, and travel/tourism.
2. Are you a graduate student who has earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality -OR- worked for two years in the hospitality industry after graduation?
