The importance of first aid and CPR training has been belittled. Many people have hope that the paramedics will arrive just in time therefore CPR and first aid skills are unnecessary but that is not the case. It is always the wisest choice to have these skills and training in mind in case the paramedics don't arrive on time or no one is around to help out. When a situation like this when CPR is needed the first instinct a person takes is to panic but when someone has been taking training classes and been practicing they will not panic but instead do everything to their ability to help until the paramedics arrive. It is always wisest to be prepared than to worry and mourn afterward.

I am a strong believer in First Aid and CPR and have had my certification for the last 6 years for life guarding and swim instruction. I look forward to pursuing my career in healthcare because I feel it is extremely important to save lives.

I learned CPR in high school and though I have not had to actually use it yet, I'm grateful that I have the knowledge to help save a life.

The knowledge of knowing how to perform CPR is truly life-changing. I had taken a CPR class in high school, not knowing I would ever need it later in life, till I was in a position that it came in handy. I was at a cafe and an elderly lady had fallen out of her chair and I noticed she wasn't moving, my first instinct was to call EMS, but knowing that they could take a while I jumped to perform CPR. According to EMS, what I did was helpful until they arrived, so knowing how to perform that technique truly was a blessing; because in a moment of distress I didn't have to panic.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation also known as CPR is a very important skill that everyone should know how to do. It is a life-saving technique that can help maintain blood flow to the brain and heart in an emergency situation. This life saving technique have saved millions of lives, and I am glad that I have saved a life through this great skill.

The basic importance of First Aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is that it saves life. Knowing what to do when accidents occur and willing to help if one encounters an accident is the main reason why first aid and CPR should be of a greater necessity to all individuals. As a frequent traveler and a sickler, one of my biggest fear was to fall ill or encounter an accident while in the plane and no one is available to help. Let’s study First aid and CPR and save lives.

CPR is an important skill to have even if you aren’t considering healthcare. CPR could be a difference of life and death and a matter of who is around at that time. I have goals for obtaining a neonatal nursing degree in my field of study I will be trained in not only CPR but infant CPR. Just like CPR I think infant CPR is just as much needed to be taught as cpr for adults. Infant CPR requires a different set of skills and can be even more risky when not carried though properly. It is important we teach our communities these essential skills in hopes of being better prepared for the worst.

If everyone knew how to do CPR, people who have heart attacks or have been in a trauma, would have a higher chance at survival. I think CPR is extremely important to know, because it's the difference between life and death especially when you least expect it.

Being educated on how to properly perform CPR as well as perform any First Aid needs is very important as you truly never know when those skills may be needed. You could be having a normal day running errands at the grocery store and the person in front of you in the check out line collapses. If you had proper training you would be able to know the steps and be able to start CPR before medical help arrives. As a someone that currently works in the medical field I am already CPR certified, but after having my daughter I advised that my husband and close family members take a CPR class in case they were ever watching my daughter alone and she began to choke or became unresponsive.

CPR and First aid training should be considered a social responsibility that every person is willing to yield.

It is very important to have a CPR and First Aid training because it comes in handy when you least expected. I had checked on a patient who was impulse and the patient turned blue and I called code blue and started CPR. If I didn't go through the CPR training course every 2 years and the many practice I get at work I would of been too scared to touch the patient. I had to be confident and take charge until professionals arrived to take over.

The importance to have a CPR and First Aid training is vital for my field, working with children every day I feel more realistic to be ready for any emergency around the children and my partners in my environment.

I've recently started a CPR class because I've recently had a family member go through a heart attack and i seen it all and it traumatized me and it showed me the importance of learning because if i knew what to do earlier i would've known what to do and been able to help but I didn't know what to do other than to stare and in shock scared so many things going through my mind, I started the class because it can help me in the future on being able to help and act fast and save someone's life.
