Scholarship Description

The Seton Hall University Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is offered to incoming freshman and incoming international freshmen who have outstanding academic records, have overcome economic or educational hardship, and have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and serving or working with socio-economically or educationally underserved communities. This is awarded in the fall semester and is renewable contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 GPA and actively participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Program. All recipients must address issues of equality and social justice through servant leadership and scholarship.

The MLK Honors Leadership Program community at Seton Hall University is seriously committed to developing servant leaders who can develop new paradigms that will yield social and cultural change. Each applicant will need two separate recommendations that are focused on your merits to receive the Dr. Martin Luther King Scholarship specifically. Not only does the MLK Leadership Program provide partial tuition scholarships to exceptional students each year, but it also provides management and leadership development skills to its scholars.
