Scholarship Description

The Joseph Cesare Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to benefit high school seniors who will be continuing their education in an accredited college, university, or trade school in the fall. The scholarship will be awarded to students who reside in New York City. This scholarship was started in the loving memory of Joseph Cesare, who left us in March of 2020. Mr. Cesare was an Italian immigrant whom resided in New York City for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Josephine, three sons, Lorenzo, Vincenzo, and Anthony, and five grandchildren.

With that in mind, we decided to start the Joseph Cesare Memorial Scholarship so that we can be reminded of the man he was and stood for. We are looking to award this scholarship to a student that is community service oriented, and aspires to create positivity in a world that is sometimes negative. In addition to completing the application, you must also submit: a transcript; two letters of recommendations from a non-relative; and a 1,000-word essay on "Why should you be considered for this scholarship? If selected, how would you use it for your educational needs?" Scholarship Search
