• Graduating high school with a 3.0 GPA or better? You may be eligible. Cash in on all your hard work with the Promise Scholarship – and get thousands of dollars every year to pursue your college dream in West Virginia. The Promise Scholarship is a merit-based financial aid program for West Virginia high school graduates planning to attend one of the state’s public or independent two- or four-year institutions.

  Students who achieve certain academic requirements can receive up to $5,000 in annual awards to cover tuition and mandatory fees. Awards are contingent upon annual funding of the program by the West Virginia State Legislature. You are required to submit a FAFSA by March 1. Additional documentation may be required for your application.
