• Freedom is not free…it’s paid for in the sacrifice of the extraordinary men and women defending our nation. Service members do not bear this responsibility alone. Their families face unique challenges during frequent deployments, multiple moves and schools. All families face hard challenges, but military family challenges redefine hard. Anchor Scholarship Foundation recognizes the impressive accomplishments of these families. Since 1980, more than $1,400,000 in scholarships have been awarded to more than 1,200 eligible family members.

  The Anchor Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to eligible family members (children and spouses) of active duty, retired or honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel. Anchor Scholarships MUST be applied to tuition and tuition related expenses only. Anchor scholarships are awarded based upon an equal weighting of academic performance, character, extracurricular activities and financial need. Endowed and administered scholarships have additional criteria; not every applicant is eligible for every endowed or administered scholarship.
