This scholarship opportunity is provided by The David and Lucile Packard Foundation for graduating high school seniors from 30 select youth organizations. To apply, students must meet the eligibility requirements listed below and complete an application at Apply SVCF. The deadline to apply is August 14th at 11:59 PM PDT. The scholarship is for up to $5,000 per year for first and sophomore years of college.
The Bright Futures Scholarship was established in 2010 by SVCF to provide additional scholarship opportunities to the many worthy applicants that seek funding each year. The selection committee looks for students showing academic promise and whose educational opportunities will be increased by financial assistance. Applicant should have demonstrated Financial Need per FASFA; Minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA); U.S. Citizen, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), or Eligible Noncitizen per FAFSA; Plan to enroll at a two-year or four-year U.S. accredited college or university for the academic year of the scholarship award and be pursuing a first associate’s (AA), bachelor’s (BA), or graduate degree
