  • Scholarship Description
  • The Vermont Chafee Education and Training Scholarship was established for youths aging out of foster care who are likely to experience difficulty transitioning from foster care to adulthood. The mission of this program is to help young adults prepare for and enter training/educational institutions after high school. In order to apply, you attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding; be under the custody of the Vermont Commissioner of the Department for Children and Families (DCF) through their 18th birthday or be adopted after the age of 16 but would have remained under DCF custody through their 18th birthday. Must be 21 or younger and demonstrate financial need. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
