The Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota Caring Foundation Health Profession Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in nursing and other health care-related fields. Scholarship Details
- 50 scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded each fall
- Priority is given to students willing to work in underserved communities in North Dakota
- Priority is also given to students pursuing shortage health professions such as registered nursing, licensed practical nursing, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and behavioral health
- Scholarship checks are mailed directly to qualified academic institutions
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a resident of North Dakota
- Attend a North Dakota university, college or technical college
- Have completed at least the freshman year of undergraduate coursework
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student
- Be pursuing a degree in nursing or a health care-related field
- Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Demonstrate financial need
Application Process

- Prepare a copy of your most recent unofficial grade transcript
- Submit the completed application and unofficial transcript to the BCBSND Caring Foundation via email by the application deadline
