  • Scholarship Description
  • Each year, the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois distributes more than $200,000 in scholarship funding to local students. All of CFNIL’s scholarship funds were created by individuals or organizations that recognize the importance of helping students achieve their educational goals, now and in perpetuity. The funds’ creators selected the criteria for each scholarship, based on their interests and the community’s need.

    Criteria for the Alpha Delta Kappa XI Education Scholarship:
    A. Applicants must have a permanent residence in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson or Winnebago County.
    B. Must intend to teach elementary or secondary school.
    C. Must be of at least sophomore standing at a post-secondary institution.
    D. Graduate students are eligible.
    E. Past recipients may re-apply.
