The Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF) offers scholarships to support the advancement of women in the automotive, vehicular and mobility industries. Scholarships can be used at any college or university.
Scholarship Details
- Award amounts typically range from $2,500 to $5,000
- Scholarship funds must be used toward tuition and fees at a college or university
- Application deadlines occur twice a year, in January and June
- Scholarship recipients are selected quarterly
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited collegiate program
- Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Applicants must hold citizenship in North America
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application
- Prepare all required documents for upload in PDF, PNG or JPG format. Convert Word documents to PDF before submitting them
- Write a one-page cover letter outlining your career aspirations in the automotive, vehicular or mobility industries. Include your name on the cover letter
- Prepare a resume of no more than two pages that includes your education, work experience, volunteer activities and extracurricular involvement
- Obtain the appropriate academic transcript. High school seniors must submit their high school transcript, while other applicants must provide their current or most recent college transcript
- Submit an acceptance letter from your college or school if you are a high school senior or a college transfer student who is not yet enrolled
- Ensure all documents are legible and that each individual file is smaller than 5MB before uploading them with your completed application
- Submit your application and required documents by the applicable deadline
- If selected for a scholarship, provide written or electronic notification of acceptance within five days of receiving the award notification
