The ESA Foundation Esports Scholarship was created for students who play esports on a collegiate team and are pursuing a four-year, academic degree.
Scholarship Details
- First-ever esports scholarship offered by the ESA Foundation

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a woman or a member of an under-represented group
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be competing on a college esports team or club, or confirmed to compete at the collegiate level in Fall
- Must be a current high school senior or a college freshman, sophomore, or junior
- Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university in Fall 2024
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Application Process
- Verify eligibility as a U.S. citizen enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year college or university
- Confirm participation or commitment to compete on a collegiate esports team or club for Fall 2025
- Complete the ESA Foundation Esports Scholarship application form
- Provide financial documentation demonstrating need
- Submit academic transcripts and proof of enrollment
- Wait for notification after the scholarship review and selection process
As part of its 2024-2025 scholarship program, the ESA Foundation introduced its first-ever esports scholarship, offering academic support for under-represented students competitively gaming through their U.S. colleges and universities.
