Scholarship Description

The Flegenheimer Family Scholarship was created in 1998 to give Saginaw County students the opportunity to further their education. It is hoped this scholarship will allow students to become better prepared for the future. The scholarship was established by Marjorie and Ernest Flegenheimer in recognition of the importance of education and the difference it can make in a young person's life. Applicants pursuing a vocational trade may be given preference.

To be eligible for the Flegenheimer Family Scholarship, applicants must: have a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; be a high school senior; be a Saginaw County resident; and be pursuing an undergraduate or vocational degree at an accredited Michigan institution. Applicants can be either a part-time or full-time college student. Dollar amounts will vary, so there is not set amount. Applications run from November 1 until the due date.
