The Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship provides financial assistance to students participating in archaeological fieldwork for the first time. Offered by the Archaeological Institute of America, the scholarship was established in 2007 in honor of AIA Honorary President Jane C. Waldbaum and helps make post-secondary education possible for those studying archaeology and similar majors.
Scholarship Details
- Each scholarship recipient receives $2,000

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have begun the junior or third year of undergraduate study at the time of application and not yet completed the first year of graduate school
- Must be enrolled at a college or university in the United States or Canada
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have no prior archaeological fieldwork experience
- Must plan to participate in an archaeological field school project lasting at least four weeks
- Students from all backgrounds may apply
