The NDS Dairy Shrine/DMI Education & Communication Scholarship supports undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in education or communication within the dairy product or related food industries. Recipients will also be recognized at the Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet.
Scholarship Details
- One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded
- Additional $1,500 scholarships may be awarded based on the number and quality of applications and available funding
- Students may receive the Dairy Shrine/DMI Education & Communication Scholarship only once
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college
- Must have an explicit interest in dairy industry education or communication
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Must be pursuing an area of study related to education or communication in the dairy product industry or related food industries
Application Process
- Review all scholarship requirements and application information
- Obtain one letter of recommendation from a faculty member familiar with your activities and academic achievements
- Obtain an official transcript showing all college courses completed
- Submit the application, letter of recommendation, and official transcript between March 1st and April 15th by midnight CST
- Ensure the official transcript is mailed for review by the Dairy Shrine Executive Director
