Scholarship Description

The NDS DMI Milk Marketing & Dairy Products Scholarship supports undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in milk or dairy product marketing, dairy market enhancement, and related food industry roles. Recipients will also be recognized at the Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet.

Scholarship Details

  • One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded
  • Additional $1,500 scholarships may be awarded based on the number and quality of applications and available funding
  • Students may receive the Dairy Shrine/DMI Milk Marketing & Dairy Products Scholarship only once

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college
  • Must have an explicit interest in the dairy industry
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Must be pursuing an area of study related to dairy or agricultural marketing, dairy foods, food product science or a similar field

Application Process

  1. Review all requirements listed in the scholarship section before beginning the application
  2. Obtain one letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with your activities and academic achievements
  3. Request an official transcript showing all college courses for review by the Dairy Shrine Executive Director
  4. Submit the application, letter of recommendation, and official transcript between March 1 and April 15 at midnight CST
