The NDS Maurice E. Core Scholarship is available to current first-year college students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Dairy or Animal Science or preparing for a dairy-related career. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship awards are valued at $1,500 each
- Additional scholarships may be awarded based on the number and quality of applications and available funding
- Applications and required materials are accepted from March 1st through April 15th
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be current first-year college students
- Applicants must attend a four-year university
- Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills
- Applicants must be involved in volunteer activities
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
Application Process
- Review all of the scholarship requirements before applying
- Obtain one letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with your activities and academic achievements
- Obtain an official transcript showing all high school and college courses
- Mail the official transcript so it can be reviewed only by the Dairy Shrine Executive Director
- Submit the completed application, letter of recommendation, and transcript between March 1st and April 15th at midnight CST
