  • Scholarship Description
  • The SWRInstitute board of directors and a selection committee determine the number and dollar amount of scholarships awarded, with a maximum dollar amount of $1,500. The purpose of these scholarships is to assist and encourage qualified students to further or continue their interest in the construction industry, specifically the sealant, waterproofing, and restoration industry, as a future or continued career.

    Eligibility:
    -Is enrolled full-time in a certificate or degree program in an accredited trade school, 2-year junior college or 4-year college or university
    -Employees of SWR Institute member companies or individuals are eligible for consideration to receive a grant
    -Relatives of the SWR Institute selection committee are not eligible for grants

    Judging will be based on:
    -The applicant's indication of interest in pursuing the career in the construction industry, specifically the sealant, waterproofing and restoration industry
    -The applicant's record of scholastic achievement, including grade point average
    -The applicant's economic need
    -The applicant's references and recommendations by instructors, employers, and other pertinent individuals
