Academic excellence is a point of pride for Chi Omega, and in recognition of the exceptional accomplishments of our members, the Chi Omega Foundation awards scholarships and grants to both collegiate and alumnae members. Thanks to the generous support of alumnae and the dedication of our collegiate chapters, the Foundation provides more than $430,000 in academic and leadership scholarships to assist members with educational expenses.

Scholarship Details

• The Chi Omega Foundation provides more than $430,000 in academic and leadership scholarships
• Opportunities are available to eligible Chi Omega collegiate and alumnae members
• The Judith Babcock National and Chapter Scholarship Program provides scholarship opportunities made possible in part through a $2 million estate gift from Judith Babcock
• The Marie Freeman and Stanton P. Fischer Scholarship Fund assists alumnae pursuing graduate degrees and alumnae age 22 or older returning to pursue undergraduate degrees
• The Engineering Impact - Bobbie Banaszak Gleiter Scholarship supports collegians and alumnae pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering field
• The Jean Mermoud Mrasek Scholarship for Panhellenic Leadership and Excellence supports selected Panhellenic Council officers attending the National Panhellenic Conference College Panhellenic Academy
• The Rowdy and Lucky Shain Scholarship supports eligible juniors, seniors, and alumnae pursuing degree programs in animal welfare or veterinary medicine
• The Alumnae Educational Grant assists alumnae pursuing additional education for career qualification or advancement
• The Elizabeth Carmichael Orman Memorial Scholarship provides need-based assistance to eligible collegiate members preparing for senior-year academic expenses
• The Mary Love Collins Memorial Scholarship supports Chi Omega members enrolling in or currently enrolled in full-time graduate study
• The Humphreys Chi Omega Scholarship for Study Abroad supports eligible collegians participating in study abroad programs lasting at least eight weeks
• The Jan Boyd Blackwell Leading with Integrity Award recognizes initiated collegiate leaders who demonstrate service, integrity, and leadership during challenging circumstances
• The Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Educational Grant assists qualifying alumnae in the Cincinnati metropolitan area who are furthering their education for career qualification or advancement
• Additional Helping Hands funds provide financial assistance to qualifying undergraduate and alumnae members experiencing hardship or crisis, including financial need resulting from Presidentially-declared disasters

Eligibility Criteria

• Must meet the Chi Omega membership requirements established for the specific scholarship, grant, or award
• Some opportunities are limited to collegiate members, while others are specifically available to alumnae
• Academic, enrollment, age, geographic, financial need, field of study, leadership, and other requirements vary by award
• Applicants for the Engineering Impact - Bobbie Banaszak Gleiter Scholarship must be pursuing an eligible ABET-accredited engineering field
• Applicants for the Rowdy and Lucky Shain Scholarship must be eligible juniors, seniors, or alumnae pursuing animal welfare or veterinary medicine
• Applicants for the Humphreys Chi Omega Scholarship for Study Abroad must be collegians in good standing participating in an eligible program lasting at least eight weeks
• Applicants for the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Educational Grant must reside in the Cincinnati metropolitan area and be at least 24 years old by the application deadline
• Applicants must satisfy all additional requirements established for the individual scholarship, grant, or award for which they apply

Application Process

2. Review the complete eligibility requirements for each applicable scholarship or grant.
3. Complete the appropriate application when the application period opens, generally eight weeks before the individual award's deadline.
4. Provide all information and supporting materials required for the specific scholarship or grant.
5. Submit each application by its respective deadline, which varies by program.
