Matsuo Bridge Company, Ltd. of Japan is one of Japan’s leading fabricators of steel for bridges, buildings and other structures. Matsuo Bridge boasts numerous signature projects throughout Japan, including the world’s longest suspension bridge. The purpose of their scholarship is to provide financial assistance to an individual interested in pursuing a career in civil engineering, welding engineering, or welding engineering technology. The number of awards given by the provider will vary, and the dollar amounts range from $2,500-$10,000+.
The Matsuo Bridge Company, Ltd. of Japan Scholarship will be awarded to a college junior or senior, or a graduate student pursuing a degree in civil engineering, welding engineering, welding engineering technology, or related discipline. Eligible applicants must have a high school diploma, have a 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled in a school in the United States. The award will be available to students nationwide; however, priority will be given to individuals residing in the states of California, Texas, Oregon or Washington.
