Scholarship Description

The Jerry Dominguez Scholarship fund was created to invest in our future business leaders and entrepreneurs. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors pursuing a business career at a 4-year college/university or accredited vocational school. Each year, Business Consumer Alliance (BCA) will award five recipients a scholarship with an award amount of $10,000 each.

Scholarship Details

  • Established by the Business Consumer Alliance in honor of former Chairman Jerry Dominguez
  • Recognizes students who embody Jerry Dominguez’s values of education, leadership, and perseverance
  • Applications are reviewed by a Scholarship Committee, and finalists may be interviewed
  • Scholarship recipients’ photos and essays may be featured on the BCA website and social media
  • Recipients are responsible for any applicable taxes related to the award

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a high school senior
  • Must be pursuing higher education at a 4-year institution or vocational school
  • Must be a resident of Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, or San Bernardino county
  • 3.8 GPA minimum

Application Process

  1. Complete all sections of the scholarship application accurately and fully
  2. Write and submit an original essay that reflects your personal experiences and goals
  3. Attach all required documents and submit your completed application by the deadline
  4. Await review by the Scholarship Committee; finalists may be contacted for an interview
  5. Provide proof of enrollment and a personal photo if selected as a finalist

The Jerry Dominguez Scholarship Fund is named in memoriam of former BCA Chairman and long-time Board member, Jerry Dominguez. Jerry was a native Californian, born in San Francisco and raised in the Long Beach area.
