Each year, thousands of students contact NSA seeking help to meet the ever-increasing costs of higher education. In response, the NSA Foundation provides financial assistance to promising accounting students across the country. The Foundation awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in degree programs at accredited two & four-year colleges or universities. Scholarships are awarded based on scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership ability, and financial need.
Scholarship Details
- Award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500
- One-time awards (students may reapply in future years if eligible)
- Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and required supplies
- Scholarships are paid directly to the student’s college or university
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen (Arizona residents have additional eligibility allowances)
- Must be majoring in accounting or committed to pursuing an accounting degree
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution
- Undergraduates must have completed at least one semester prior to applying
- Graduate students must be enrolled at least half-time
- High school seniors are not eligible
Application Process
- Complete the online application between January 15 and May 1st.
- Provide academic records and GPA information.
- Submit details of leadership, work experience, and community involvement.
- Include a statement outlining career goals in accounting.
- Application deadline: May 1st at 11:59 PM PT
An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering academic achievement, leadership, honors and awards, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, financial need and more.
