The purpose of the Mennonite Aid Plan Scholarship is to build positive relationships with the young people in our churches and to assist in the development of our church leaders.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount of $1,000 per recipient
- Up to five scholarships are awarded each year
- Open to eligible students attending a 2-year college, 4-year college, university, or graduate school on the West Coast
- Applicants may apply for the scholarship in multiple years
- Preference is given to applicants who have not previously received the scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a member or regular attender of a Mennonite, Mennonite Brethren, Brethren in Christ, Missionary (Vinia), or Church of the Brethren church
- Must be a high school senior or a current college or graduate student enrolled at a West Coast institution
- Must be an employee of a Mennonite or Anabaptist institution or agency, or the child of an employee of a Mennonite or Anabaptist institution or agency
Application Process
- Confirm that you meet all of the scholarship eligibility requirements.
- Gather any required documentation to verify your church affiliation, enrollment status, and employment or parent employment eligibility.
- Complete and submit the scholarship application by the published deadline.
- Wait for the scholarship committee to review applications and announce recipients.
Completed applications must be received by July 1st for the coming fall semester. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarships will be awarded on August 1st and all applicants will be notified shortly thereafter.
