The NCAIED 40 Under 40 Awards recognizes Native American citizens who demonstrate outstanding leadership, initiative, and dedication to their professions and communities. Honorees are nominated by peers and are recognized for making significant contributions in their fields and communities.
Scholarship Details
- Honorees are selected through peer nominations
- Self-nominations are welcome
- Applicants may nominate more than one person.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees must be Native American citizens
- Nominees must be between 18 and 39 years of age as of January 1st
- Nominees should demonstrate outstanding leadership, initiative and dedication
- Nominees should have made significant contributions to their professions and communities
Application Process
- Complete the nomination form in full
- Prepare three supporting documents, such as a professional resume, reference letters, publications or other relevant materials
- Provide the nominee’s email address
- Submit one color headshot of the nominee in 300 dpi JPG format
- Provide a copy of the nominee’s Tribal enrollment document
- Submit the completed nomination form and all required supporting materials by the deadline
- Ensure all materials are received by 4:30 PM MST, as nominations are considered incomplete until all required documents have been submitted
- Processing nominations may take 2–3 business days
The NCAIED 40 Under 40 Awards provide an opportunity to recognize Native American leaders who are making a meaningful impact in their professions and communities. Students and young professionals who meet the age and citizenship requirements may be strong candidates for this recognition.
