The NEEBC Scholarship Program supports students who are pursuing careers in Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Total Rewards and related fields. This scholarship is designed to encourage the education and professional development of future leaders in employee benefits and human resources.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships are awarded annually to eligible undergraduate and graduate students
- Available to both part-time and full-time students
- Previous scholarship recipients may reapply annually, for up to four total applications, provided they continue to meet all eligibility requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited public or private college or university in New England
- Have completed at least one semester of college coursework
- Maintain a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrate an interest in Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Total Rewards, or related fields through coursework, work experience, or both
- Eligible areas of interest may include compensation, retirement planning, consulting, underwriting, employee communications, organizational behavior, employee benefits law, wellbeing programs, health risk management, institutional investing, workers compensation, actuarial analysis, healthcare program design, and retirement plan administration or implementation
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application
- Write and include the required essay as outlined in question four of the application
- Submit your most recent official college transcript or an unofficial transcript downloaded from your school's student portal
- Obtain one or more references from a college professor, NEEBC member, or another employee benefits professional
- Include a current resume
- Mail all required application materials so they are postmarked no later than the published application deadline
