The NW Corporate Law Scholarship is designed to help reduce the financial burden of law school for students pursuing careers in business law or entrepreneurship. This scholarship is awarded each semester to a second or third year law student who demonstrates financial need and attends an ABA-approved law school in the United States.
Scholarship Details
- One $1,500 scholarship is awarded each spring and fall
- The scholarship is awarded to one student applicant
- The award is determined at the discretion of the firm's scholarship committee
- Scholarship funds may only be used for law school educational expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be second or third year law students
- Applicants must be actively enrolled in an ABA-approved law school in the United States
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need
- Applicants must have an interest in business law or entrepreneurship
Application Process
- Obtain your most recent law school transcript
- Write a 500-700 word essay explaining what the most important difference you hope to make as a lawyer will be and how you hope or expect to achieve it by the end of your career
- Prepare a resume that is no more than one page and focuses on your work, volunteer and other educational experiences
- Submit your transcript, essay and resume as part of your scholarship application
