The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is honored to be in a position to distribute educational grants to full-time students pursuing a degree in any environmental field at South Carolina schools of higher education. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible, based on their performance in academia and in related community activities.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships of $500 are available
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students
- Supports students pursuing degrees in environmental fields
- Selection considers academic performance, community involvement, educational goals, career interests, employment, volunteer experience, and leadership
- Scholarship recipients are announced in January and awards are presented in February
- Applications are due October 31st
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time student
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in an environmental field
- Must attend a South Carolina school of higher education
- May be an undergraduate or graduate student
- Should demonstrate academic achievement and involvement in relevant community activities
Application Process
- Complete the South Carolina Wildlife Federation scholarship application online.
- Provide information about your educational goals and career interests.
- Describe relevant employment, volunteer experience, community activities, and leadership experience.
- Ask a supporting faculty member to submit a brief recommendation electronically.
- Submit the completed application by October 31st.
The applications will need to be submitted online by October 31st, and will address the student’s educational goal and career interests, employment and volunteer experience, including leadership. These scholarships are funded by contributions from generous individual donors in addition to the ongoing support received.
