Scholarship Description

Each year, The Arc New York presents scholarships and awards to individuals pursuing degrees in special education, physical or occupational therapy, or a field related to intellectual or other developmental disabilities, and those who go above and beyond to improve this field.

Scholarship Details

  • Annual scholarships available to students pursuing degrees related to intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Open to students studying special education, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or related fields
  • Available to high school seniors through graduate level students
  • Includes opportunities for members of Arc New York Chapters
  • Supports students enrolled in New York State programs leading to special education certification

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a New York resident
  • Applicant may be a high school senior entering college or a current undergraduate or graduate student
  • Applicant must major in psychology, special education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field
  • Students in programs related to intellectual and developmental disabilities are eligible
  • Arc New York Chapter members may apply
