The Achieve Atlanta Scholarship offers scholarships of up to $5,000 per year to Atlanta Public School (APS) seniors.
Scholarship Details
- Renewable for up to 4 years of college
- Need-based
- Includes an additional Fall Update application
- May be applied to Georgia colleges and out-of-state colleges with some exceptions
Eligibility Criteria
- High school senior at an APS
- Enrolled in an APS since entering junior year or longer
- Demonstrate financial need
- Achieve a cumulative weighted GPA of at least 75 in high school
- Plan to enroll in an eligible college upon graduation
Application Process
- Fill out the FAFSA (or alternative form for undocumented students) and submit it in advance of the deadline
- Complete and submit your Achieve Atlanta application by the deadline
- Fill out the Achieve Atlanta Fall Update application upon high school graduation
- Enroll full-time at an eligible college to receive the award
- Demonstrate satisfactory academic progress and financial need through college to renew the award annually
Though rare, it is possible to appeal for an exception to be made to the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship qualifications. Contact the Achieve Atlanta office if you feel you have a compelling case for exemption from one or more of the criteria.
