The AAMS awards scholarships annually to qualified Armenian students enrolled in a United States-accredited program in the fields of medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing, mental health, or other professional healthcare schools.
Scholarship Details
- Individual $5,000 scholarships awarded annually
- Open to students pursuing education in healthcare-related fields
- Awards are based on either academic merit or financial need
- Since 2009, 113 scholarships have been granted nationwide
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be of Armenian descent
- Enrolled in a healthcare education program such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, mental health, or allied health
- Demonstrated financial need or academic excellence
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form available on the AAMS website
- Provide proof of Armenian heritage
- Submit academic transcripts demonstrating academic performance
- Include financial documentation if applying based on financial need
- Attach letters of recommendation and a personal statement describing career goals and commitment to healthcare
- Submit your completed application by the stated deadline
