The Arkansas Trucking Association (ATA) Carl Tapp Technician Scholarship supports high school seniors pursuing careers as medium/heavy-duty truck technicians. This scholarship helps students attend approved technical programs in Arkansas while encouraging strong academic performance and commitment to the trucking industry.
Scholarship Details
- Supports a minimum two-semester truck technician program in Arkansas
- Funds are distributed in two payments
- Second payment requires proof of continued enrollment and a minimum 2.8 GPA
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be graduating from an accredited high school (vocational, public, private, or parochial)
- Must plan to enroll in an approved medium/heavy-duty truck technician program in Arkansas
- Must provide official high school transcripts covering the most recent three years
- Must be accepted into a qualifying program before the scholarship is awarded
Application Process
- Complete the student portion of the application (with parent/guardian if under 18).
- Submit official high school transcripts to the ATA office.
- Provide authorization for a high school official to complete the recommendation portion.
- Ensure all required forms from school officials are submitted.
- Submit the complete application package by April 16th.
